Bari Scott

BARI SCOTT

Bari Scott is executive director of SoundVision, an independent non-profit (501c3) production company specializing in broadcast, online and theatrical programming. She is responsible for directing and coordinating SoundVision Productions' ongoing, weeklong intensive Science Literacy Workshops for public radio reporters and producers, which is funded by the Department of Energy.

Among her recent projects, Scott was executive director for "The Human Condition: Knowledge and Values in the Age of Science," for which she received planning grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the National Science Foundation, as well as for the award-winning "The DNA Files," fourteen one-hour documentaries on the science of genetics research and its social, legal, and ethical implications.

Scott received her BA in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Texas, Austin.
