Lisa Pinsker

Lisa Pinsker

Lisa Pinsker is managing editor for Geotimes magazine, the monthly newsmagazine of the American Geological Institute. She was a reporter and Web editor at Geotimes for two years before assuming her current position. Before coming to the Washington, D.C., area, Pinsker worked for Finger Lakes Productions International as manager and producer of two nationally syndicated, short-format shows about oceanography and the environment. She holds a bachelor's degree in geological engineering with a specialization in science writing from Cornell University. A member of the National Association of Science Writers, the D.C. Science Writers Association and the Association of Earth Science Editors, Pinsker was a 2001 Metcalf Institute fellow for marine and environmental reporting.
