The "1848 Society" recognizes all individuals who provide for AAAS through
their wills or other charitable plans. Often these contributions help endow
fellowships, provide for programmatic support, and advance AAAS's mission to
serve as the voice of the scientific community.
1848 Society members have demonstrated a vision and a commitment to AAAS through
charitable gift plans. Thanks to members, AAAS continues to improve its programs
and activities. AAAS is honored that these donors have elevated AAAS to the
level of family through inclusion in their wills or estate plans.
The "1848 Society" recognizes each member either by name or anonymously. Anonymous
recognition protects an individual's privacy wishes. Members receive a seasonal
newsletter that features articles on AAAS and financial planning tips. In addition,
1848 Society members are invited to national AAAS events and activities.
As you consider making a gift to AAAS, we hope that you will involve our Development
Office as so we can acknowledge and recognize your support. Inquiries are treated
