The "Fund for Excellence" is designed to generate private support for AAAS
through a yearly campaign. The Fund is comprised of contributions made by members
and friends of the Association. Unrestricted dollars raised go directly to where
the need is greatest and assists AAAS in responding to critical issues in science
and technology. Through these vital resources, new initiatives undertaken by
AAAS are possible, as well as the organization and underwriting of special meetings
and briefings to address time sensitive research and technology related issues.
All gifts made during the calendar year are applied toward the membership
total. Matching corporate gifts also are applied to your total. Should you or
your spouse work for a company that matches philanthropic gifts, club membership
will be determined by the total of the matching gift and your individual gift.
All donors of gifts $100 and above are recognized in the corresponding AAAS Annual
Report.
