Gifts of real property can consist of almost any type of real estate, including personal or recreational residences, farms, ranches, commercial buildings, or land. Gifts of property are reviewed and accepted by the Association on a case-by-case basis. Individual goals and financial needs determine the most appropriate methods of giving real estate property. Options for giving include:
- an outright gift;
- a life income gift in which you receive an income based in part on the
net proceeds of the sale; or
- a life tenancy gift, in which you retain the right to live on the property
for your lifetime.
