Successful candidate will perform efficiently and effectively in any or all of the areas of business problem analysis, business requirements definition, software solution design, software solution development, application support, and project management; lead a custom application development project, a commercial software integration/implementation project, and on-going maintenance of a group of related systems; provide technical support or provide business process automation consulting to internal groups; focus on business web development projects utilizing relational databases including MS SQL and provide excellent service to our internal customers; fulfill departmental requirements in terms of providing work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personal illness, vacation, or continuing education; perform other work related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Position requires extensive university or college level training leading to a Bachelors degree (Information Systems preferred); minimum of five years experience in relevant software systems technology including at least three years in software systems design, support and development; ability to read code and create documentation for a central repository for all AAAS systems such as software lifecycle documentation, user guides, functional specs, and installation guides; strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills needed; excellent customer service and time management skills required; ability to work with internal users and all levels of employees in a professional manner; advanced technical skills required to communicate technical concepts effectively; experience working with two or more development technologies such as ASP Scripting languages, Microsoft.Net Framework, Microsoft Access or Visual Basic, plus experience using modifying or designing database solutions; experience developing software using Java/J2EE, PHP, Coldfusion, C++, Windows Sharepoint Services 3.0, Microsoft Sharepoint Server 2007 or Microsoft Commerce Server is a plus; familiarity with MS SQL or other relational databases; reporting experience with Crystal Reports, MS-Access, or SQL Server Reporting is highly desired.
