Position: Data Entry Specialist

Successful candidate will sort, batch and enter membership and subscriber orders and payments into the AAAS fulfillment management database. Duties will include opening and sorting incoming mail; batching order groups; entering orders and payments in accordance with established procedures and requirements for accuracy and speed; verifying batch totals match the amounts keyed into the fulfillment system; assisting with customer service support and special projects as needed; performing other work related duties as assigned. Based on skills and experience, this position may be filled at a higher level.

Qualifications: Position requires up to one year of job-related course work after high school; two to three years data entry/order processing experience, experience working in a customer service or mail processing center with high mail volumes, or previous experience working in an operations department with cash receipts; good verbal and written communication skills; fast and accurate keyboarding skills are required; demonstrated ability to meet and maintain accuracy and speed requirements for data entry is also required; comfort with and aptitude for numbers is highly desired; computer skills (Microsoft Office) Advantage Software is preferred.
