Position: Journals Product Manager/Science

Successful candidate will have strong problem solving skills, think strategically ("separate the forest from the trees") and be able to work successfully independently or interdependently in a cross-functional setting. S/He should have a strong background online marketing and in the marketing of scholarly journals, have a strong understanding of the information and librarian community, how online journals are sold to librarian market and used by scientists.
Qualifications: Position requires at least 5 to 10 years of solid experience with proven success in the field of scholarly periodical publishing. Additional skills required: strong project management skills, experience with multiple titles in scientific/medical market in both online and print. S/He will have strong computer skills—MS Office suite of programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc), as well as data mining knowledge. Candidate must be willing to travel to meetings and make presentations if needed. BA/BS (MA/MS a plus) required. The Journals Product Manager will report directly to the Publisher.
