Not Geoscience As Usual - Opportunities at the Intersection of Science and Policy

This workshop explores opportunities for scientists and engineers to contribute to the  policy-making processes, the rewards of civic engagement, and transferable skills that can be developed and applied broadly to a successful career.

The workshop will examine opportunities to contribute leadership and innovation to effect and implement policies that serve society across the various sectors.  It underscores the influence of geophysical sciences and technology on the policy-making process and the impacts of policy-making on the geosciences and technology enterprise; and provides strategies and resources to learn more about and engage in policy across career stages.
