Advance registration rates have expired. You can still register online until 20 February. On-site registration is located at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, outside of Exhibit Hall D.

IMPORTANT: If you have registered in advance but did not receive a badge in the mail, bring your photo ID to any of the AAAS registration desks to obtain a new badge. For registration completed after 27 January 2011, badges must be picked up on site. You will be required to show a photo ID to pick up your badge when you arrive at the meeting. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Passport: Unlimited access to all symposia, seminars, topical lectures, plenary events, career workshops, and the International Exhibition.
AAAS Member Non-Member Professional* $355 $435 Postdoc* $280 $360 K-12 Teacher* $280 $360 Emeritus* $280 $360 Student* $70 $100 * To qualify for reduced rates, Members are required to indicate their membership number; Postdocs and Teachers are required to provide their institution and department chair/principal’s name; Students are required to indicate their institution’s name and expected year of graduation; and Emeritus Members are required to indicate their retirement year and institution.
NOTE: Student rates are available only for active high school, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students. On-site registration requires a student ID.

Career Development and International Exhibition Only: Plenary events, career workshops, and the International Exhibition are FREE and open to the public. On-site registration is required.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received in writing by 27 January 2011. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after this date. Refunds are subject to a $50 processing fee and will be issued no less than 3 weeks after the meeting.
AAAS reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the meeting due to unforeseen circumstances. Registrants will be notified.
Meeting Location

- Q. I can't come, but a colleague wants to take my place. What should he/she do?

A. If your colleague brings a letter or e-mail from you, we can swap registrations. A $25 processing fee will apply.
- Q. Will my name badge be mailed to me before the meeting?

A. Yes, badges will be mailed in January. Please bring the materials you receive to the meeting in order to pick up your badgeholder and tote bag. After 27 January 2011, badges must be picked up on site.
- Q. I registered but I didn't receive my badge. What do I do?

A. Go to the any AAAS registration desk at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center to obtain a new badge. Be sure to bring your photo ID.

A. No! Even during the meeting you can still register on-line at www.aaas.org/meetings and pick up your badge on-site.
- Q. What is the weather like in February?

A. Washington, DC’s weather is usually mild compared with many parts of the United States. Fortunately, the nastiest weather in the Washington, DC area is usually fairly short in duration. In February, the average high temperature is 47°F/8°C and the average low temperature is 26°F/-2°C. The area gets an occasional snowstorm.
