Q. What do I do after 24 January 2012, which is the deadline to make reservations through the AAAS Housing Bureau and receive special rates?

A. If you try to make a reservation after this date, availability and rates will be at the discretion of the hotels. For changes after the cut-off date, call the hotel directly. However, please understand that processing your reservations from the Housing Bureau into the hotel system will take a few days. Rest assured that if you have received a confirmation number already from the Housing Bureau, the hotel will honor your booking.

Q. What is the weather like in February?

A. Generally, Vancouver winters are relatively mild compared with the rest of Canada. In February, the average high temperature is 45°F/7°C and the average low temperature is 34°F/1°C. Most "rainy" winter days are little more than a light drizzling mist.
