Barrier-Free Environment

Accommodations for persons with disabilities will be provided on request at all general lectures and sessions. Services include interpreters or real-time captioning for persons who are deaf or hard-of-hearing, audiotaped highlights, and mobility assistance within and outside the conference facilities.

At the meeting there is a Resource Room which provides information about event locations, accessibility, transportation, materials in alternate form, and any events scheduled for oral or sign language interpretation.

The 2008 AAAS Annual Meeting marks the 33rd year that AAAS has ensured a barrier-free Annual Meeting.
