Exhibitor Workshops bring industry expertise straight to you. These workshops offer an excellent opportunity to learn the details of a product — directly from the vendor. Workshops are open to all attendees.

The AAAS Exhibitor Workshops offer an unique link between the vendor exhibit and the technical session: a detailed and specific interchange of problems and solutions. Workshops feature lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on experiences presented by speakers from exhibiting companies.

Job Seekers: Science Careers offers the chance to meet face-to-face with employers and researchers who want to talk about their current job openings. Exhibiting employers represent biotechnology, pharmaceutical, government and manufacturing organizations.

Be sure to bring multiple copies of your resume, and feel free to visit with as many employers as you wish. You can also register on-site for Science's Job Alerts Service, a free e-mail job notification service.

You will need to bring additional copies of your resume to hand to the organizations you wish to speak with during the fair. For tips on writing your resume, visit the Career Advice section of Science Careers.
Dress professionally as you would for a job interview.
Prepare to talk about your goals, skills and achievements.
Allow time to attend the fair; you may have to stand in line to speak with some of the employers.

NETWORKING EVENT: Women and Minorities in Science Networking Breakfast
FREE EVENT SATURDAY, 19 FEBRUARY • 7:00AM–10:00AM • Limited Seating • Marriott Wardman Park, Lobby Level Delaware

Minority Women in Science (MWIS), a national networking group, hosts discussions on equity among minorities and women in the scientific community. The objectives are to identify and share information on resources and programs that could help in mentoring and strengthening communication among young women and minorities in the scientific community.

NETWORKING EVENT: Emerging Technologies and their Impact on Women’s Health
FREE EVENT MONDAY, 21 FEBRUARY • 7:30AM-11:30AM • Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, Delaware Room

This event begins with breakfast and a keynote address by Kathie Olsen, Associate Director, Office of Science and Technology Policy. Sally Squires of the Washington Post will moderate a discussion with panelists Georgia Dunston (Howard University), Florence Haseltine (NIHCD), Kathy Hudson (Johns Hopkins University), and Kim Warren (Cambrex Bioscience).
