Meeting Registration

Recharge your passion for science and join us in Boston. This is the right place for information and instructions on registering.

Advance registration rates have expired. You can still register online up to and through the meeting. On-site registration will open on 14 February at the Hynes Convention Center, outside of Exhibit Hall C.

REMEMBER...Your photo ID is required to pick up your badge when you arrive at the meeting.

Registration Rates

On-site registration is located at the Hynes Convention Center, outside of Exhibit Halls CD.

Thursday, 14 February 11:00 a.m.—6:00 p.m.  
Friday, 15 February 7:30 a.m.—6:00 p.m.  
Saturday, 16 February 7:30 a.m.—6:00 p.m.  
Sunday, 17 February 7:30 a.m.—6:00 p.m.  
Monday, 18 February 7:30 a.m.—1:00 p.m.  
  1. Passport: Unlimited access to all symposia, seminars, topical lectures, plenary events, workshops, and the Exhibit Hall.

    *To qualify for reduced rates, members are required to indicate their membership number; Postdocs and Teachers are required to provide their institution and chair/principal’s name; Students are required to indicate their institution’s name and graduation year; and Emeritus members are required to indicate their retirement year and institution.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received in writing by 21 January 2013. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after this date. Refunds are subject to a $50 processing fee and will be issued no less than 3 weeks after the meeting.

AAAS reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the meeting due to unforeseen circumstances. Registrants will be notified.

Q. Who do I contact if I have questions about my registration?

A. Between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. ET, Monday—Friday, call our Customer Service Department at (866) 229-3691 for the United States, Canada, or Mexico; or (301) 694-5243 for other countries. You can also send a message by e-mail to: aaas@experient-inc.com.

Q. How do I check my membership status?

A. Call the AAAS Membership Office at (202) 326-6417 or send a message by e-mail to: membership@aaas.org.

Q. What if I have special needs due to a disability?

A. If you have a special need due to a disability, please indicate so when prompted on your registration form. You will be contacted prior to the Annual Meeting to make any necessary accommodations. For more information, visit Barrier-Free Environment.

Q. How do I cancel my registration?

The deadline for cancellations has passed, but you can send someone to take your place (see following FAQ).

Q. I can't come, but a colleague wants to take my place. What should he/she do?

A. If your colleague brings a letter or e-mail from you, we can swap registrations. A $25 processing fee will apply. On-site registration begins at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, 14 February.

Q. Will my name badge be mailed to me before the meeting?

A. No. Please bring your registration confirmation e-mail and a valid photo ID to the AAAS registration desk at the Hynes Convention Center to pick up your badgeholder and tote bag.

Q. Is it ever too late to register?

A. No! Even during the meeting you can still register on-line at www.aaas.org/meetings and pick up your badge on-site.
