The American Public Health Association (APHA), an AAAS affiliate, is the oldest and largest organization of public health professionals in the world, representing more than 50,000 members from over 50 occupations of public health.

Jones and Bartlett Publishers, Inc. was founded in 1983 to publish textbooks, professional and reference books, and, more recently, multimedia products in a variety of disciplines. Jones and Bartlett is now the 8th largest college publisher in the United States.
