Science Update Receives
Crystal Award of Excellence

Science Update, AAAS's radio program, was recognized with the highest rating in the 2002 Communicator Awards competition for its spots on such diverse topics as miscommunication with cats, the moon's relationship to Earth's future climate, and a Civil War legend of glowing wounds. It was awarded the Crystal Award of Excellence in two categories: Science/Technology Radio Program and Explanatory Writing.

The Communicator Awards is an international award that recognizes individuals and companies in the communications field whose talent and creativity achieves a high standard of excellence and serves as a standard for the industry.
