Science Celebrates Ten Years
of Presence in United Kingdom

To celebrate the establishment of the international headquarters of the AAAS journal Science, scientists, editors, and distinguished guests will gather in Cambridge, UK, on Friday, 13 June, for special commemorative lectures by editor-in-chief Donald Kennedy, Chief Executive of the Imperial Cancer Research Fund Sir Paul Nurse, Chief Scientific Adviser to HM Government Sir David King, and AAAS CEO Alan Leshner.
The journal opened up an international office in Cambridge, UK, in 1993, the first since the journal was launched in 1880 by Thomas Edison.
Festivities for the 10th Anniversary event begin at 4 p.m. on 13 June 2003. More information is available by email, gpinhols@aaas.org.
