Secretary Moniz Signs Two Energy MOUs with China

Last week at the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue, Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Ernest Moniz signed two memorandums of understanding (MOU) with counterparts from China. The first MOU facilitates cooperation on strategic petroleum reserves and allows DOE to share “information on technical, management, and policy issues related to oil stockpiles” with China’s National Energy Administration. The second MOU allows for cooperation in the areas of electric vehicles and industrial energy efficiency.
