AAAS Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Religion (DoSER) facilitates communication between scientific and religious communities. The program builds on AAAS's long-standing commitment to relate scientific knowledge and technological development to the purposes and concerns of society.

Who Should Apply

The AAAS DoSER Program has occasional internships available for qualified graduate students (recent undergraduates also accepted). DoSER will accommodate students interested in receiving course credit from their institutions. All positions are located at the AAAS headquarters in Washington, D.C. 

What the Job Involves

Duties vary depending on the expertise and experience of the individual. Activities of past interns have included researching topics important for science and religion, assisting with publications, and providing support for project activities. Efforts are made to match the subject matter of the activities with the interests of the intern..

Applications can be submitted online when the DoSER internship position is listed or by choosing DoSER as the program that most interests you for a General AAAS Internship. Positions are available year-round — full-time preferred, but part-time accepted, and for a minimum of 3 months.
