I. Welcome & Minutes from June Meeting
In the absence of Chairman Mike Telson, Paget Graham called the meeting to order shortly after 2:30 p.m. Paget asked for any input or changes on the minutes of the June 2009 Advisory Committee meeting. The minutes were approved as presented.

II. Partnership Applications
Fellowships staff have received no additional partnership applications. There have been a few recent inquiries about partnership, including the American Society of Primatologists and the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.

IV. Report on Fellowships Activities
Paget shared the summary evaluation data for the 2008-09 Fellows (presented in the executive summary document) and gave a brief PowerPoint presentation highlighting details of the 2009-10 Fellows.

V. 2010-11 Recruitment
The Fellowships staff are actively recruiting for 2010-2011 applicants, increasing the number of professional conferences and making special efforts to reach underrepresented populations in the applicant pool. Also, staff will be starting to more actively recruit potential new partner societies, taking advantage of attendance at conferences such as the Society for Neuroscience, the Joint Statistical Meetings, and the American Anthropological Association.

VII. Next Meeting
There will be no formal meeting of the Advisory Committee at the AAAS Annual Meeting in Chicago, but all are invited to the COSEPP/Fellowships reception on Saturday, February 14, from 5-6:30pm, place TBD. Invitations will be sent closer to the event date.
The next meeting of the Advisory Committee will be scheduled for the day preceding the spring/summer COSEPP meeting, likely to be in June or July. Steve Nelson will share the date of the COSEPP meeting once it has been set, and Paget will inform the Advisory Committee of the schedule.
