Student Session Aides

Student Session Aides work closely with AAAS and are an integral part of the Annual Meeting. Applications for 2015 meeting session aides will open October 2014.

Read a blog post from a past session aide about their experience.

Undergraduate and graduate students volunteer at sessions of their own choosing and will meet and listen to leading scientists, Nobel Laureates, popular authors, government leaders, media personalities, and other session speakers. Session Aides receive free registration after 8 hours of volunteering, and also receive free access to the journal Science online if they serve 16 hours.

To qualify to be a session aide you must currently be registered in an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degree program. Advisers must certify eligibility. Post-docs and professionals are not eligible.
