Linda Hosler is Public Engagement Program Associate at AAAS. She organizes and coordinates activities for the AAAS Center for Public Engagement with Science and Technology, including science communication workshops for scientists and public events such as Family Science Days, a free science showcase during the AAAS Annual Meeting. The AAAS Center for Public Engagement provides a vehicle for boosting public awareness and understanding of the nature of science and the work of scientists, while at the same time increasing public input into scientific research and policy agendas. Hosler has a Master’s degree in evolutionary biology and blends her science background with her communications experience to promote better engagement between scientists and the public. Prior to working at AAAS, she worked in communications at the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
