Nicholas Michael Bashour is a intern with the Center for Science, Technology, and Security Policy at the American Association for the Advancement of Science, where is supporting various Center initiatives and programs.
As a current graduate student in the Master of Science in Foreign Service program at Georgetown University studying Science, Technology and International Affairs. Prior to his graduate studies, Nicholas completed a 2012-13 Fulbright-Schuman fellowship in European Union science policy in Brussels, Belgium and Berlin, Germany, part of the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. From 2009-2012, he worked as a post-baccalaureate research fellow at the Cellular and Developmental Neurobiology Section of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke where he studied neuronal regulation mechanisms of sexual reproduction. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in 2009 from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.
