Chitra Kalyandurg manages partnerships with federal host agencies and offices facilitating day-to-day coordination of fellows. She also manages the Global Health & Development Fellowships for alumni at The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. This entails day-to-day coordination of fellows; conducting selection and placement processes; monitoring and reporting on fellowship activities; and serving as a liaison and guide to fellows and their mentors. In addition, Chitra contributes to planning and conducting orientation sessions, and participates in outreach and recruitment efforts.
She joined the Science & Technology Policy Fellowships (STPF) staff in 2010, with more than six years of nonprofit marketing, education and grant writing experience. Chitra’s previous positions included working in K-12 engineering outreach at the American Society for Engineering Education, managing education programs at Arena Stage, and as an independent marketing and fundraising consultant to performing arts organizations.
Chitra holds a bachelor's degree in communications studies from New York University. She is a nationally recognized performer and choreographer in the south Indian dance style of Kuchipudi.
