First delivered in 1990, the John McGovern Lecture honors prominent behavioral scientists from around the world. This lecture has been endowed by the John P. McGovern Foundation, to enable all scholars to learn and explore the accomplishments and challenges of the behavioral sciences. Dr. McGovern was an internationally recognized practicing physician, scientist, scholar, educator, and humanitarian.
2016 Call for Nominations:
AAAS invites nominations of prominent behavioral scientists to deliver the 2016 McGovern Lecture at the 2016 Annual Meeting in Washington, DC (February 11-15).
Nominees should be well-respected scientists who are engaging and dynamic public speakers.
The deadline for nominations is Monday, August 17.
Nomination information should include name, title, affiliation, and a brief bio.
