Article I. Officers

Section 1. Appointive Officers

The appointive officers of the SSE are the Chairman and Project Leaders.

Section 2. Terms of Office

The appointive officers shall serve terms of three years; there is no limit on the number of terms.

Section 3. Executive Committee

The appointive officers constitute the Executive Committee.

Section 4. Appointment of Officers

1. The position of Chairman shall be appointed by the Head, AAAS Education and Human Resources Programs.
2. Project Leaders shall be appointed by the Chairman.

Section 5. Duties

The SSE Executive Committee is responsible for the general oversight of the SSE organization and for assuring adherence to the goals of the organization and compliance with the SSE Constitution.

Article II. Amendments

These Bylaws may be amended by majority vote of the Executive Committee and the approval of the majority of participating SSE members. The SSE Bylaws shall be in compliance with the SSE Constitution.
