Bylaws

Article I. Officers
Section 1. Elective Officers
The elective officers of the SSE shall be the Chairman; Vice Chair, Executive; Vice Chair, Legislative; Vice Chair, Education; Vice Chair, Medical and Health; and Vice Chair Information Systems.
Section 2. Appointive Officers
Other officers may be appointed as appropriate.
Section 3. Terms of Office
Elective and appointive officers shall serve terms of three years; there is no limit on the number of terms.
Section 4. Executive Committee
The elected and appointed officers constitute the Executive Committee.
Section 5. Election and Appointment of Officers
- (a) The position of Chairman shall be filled by general election among the membership.
- (b) Vice Chair positions shall be filled by election among Executive Committee members.
- (c) Appointive officers shall be appointed by the Chairman and approved by the Executive Committee.
- (d) All SSE members are eligible to nominate candidates for Chairman or Vice Chair positions.
- (e) All SSE members are eligible to vote; each member has one vote.
Section 6. Duties
The SSE Executive Committee is responsible for the general oversight of the SSE organization and for assuring adherence to the goals of the organization and compliance with the SSE Constitution.
Article II. Amendments
These Bylaws may be amended by majority vote of the Executive Committee and the approval of the majority of participating SSE members. The SSE Bylaws shall be in compliance with the SSE Constitution.
