Volunteers Needed

Become an SB&F Reviewer

Are you a trained scientist, engineer, science educator, or librarian who would like the opportunity to share your expertise in science, mathematics and technology? If so, please contact Heather Beecheler at hbeechel@aaas.org, to learn more about the benefits and rewards of becoming an SB&F reviewer.

Senior Scientists and Engineers

The Senior Scientists and Engineers (SSE) program provides opportunities for retired scientists, engineers, and other professionals to continue to make contributions in their fields of expertise though volunteer activities such as judging science fairs, tutoring and mentoring students, reviewing grant proposals, participating in study groups, reviewing websites, and more. To join the organization (membership is free) or for additional information, see www.seniorscientist.org or contact SSE@AAAS.org.

Organizations and individuals in need of support from SSE volunteers can contact the AAAS program representative at SSE@AAAS.org. Through a search of the database of the nearly 700 SSE members representing more than 125 scientific disciplines, AAAS will attempt to fulfill your request for a volunteer by contacting those scientists or engineers whose expertise and volunteer profile match your needs.
