Resource Directory of Scientists and Engineers with Disabilities

Since its first publication in 1978, the AAAS Resource Directory has been a source for many organizations and individuals with a broad spectrum of needs including: peer reviewers for NSF and other grant-giving agencies; students and their advisors seeking role models; media and writers needing "existence proofs" to dispel stereotypes about disabilities; individuals and employers searching for assistive technology solutions; public and non-profit agencies, consumer groups, and companies needing experts from STEM careers; and scientists and engineers disabled mid-career needing coping strategies.

The Directory will be an alphabetical listing of professionals with disabilities holding at least a bachelor's degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics field. The Directory will contribute to overturning traditional stereotypes of persons with disabilities as to career and occupational limitations that exclude science, engineering and technical fields.

The Resource Directory and what it illuminates about science and engineering professionals with disabilities will have an impact on policies, programs, and practices.

If you meet the above criteria and would like to be listed in the directory, please fill out the questionnaire.
