Katherine Bick, Ph.D.
Recruitment and Screening Panel
Katherine Bick is the former Deputy Director, Extramural Research, National Institutes of Health (1987-90). She has a doctorate from Brown University in biology, with a research focus on Alzheimer's disease, senile dementia and related degenerative disorders of the nervous system, and demylinating disorders. She was Deputy Director of the Neurological Disease Program, NINDS, 1976-81; has been an assistant professor of Biology at both California State University, Northridge, 1961-66 and Georgetown University, 1970-76.

She has chaired the World Federation Neurological Research Group on Dementia, 1986-93, and is currently a consultant to the Charles A. Dana Foundation.
