On December 9, 1997, the American Association for the Advancment of Science (AAAS) Center for Science, Technology, and Congress held a briefing on American Technology Policy in the Next Millennium: Pushing New Frontiers in a Changing World for Members of Congress and their staffs in order to examine the changing nature of American technological innovation as we approach the end of the 20th century, and the implications for U.S. policy.
