are committees that either fund or authorize activities of the
Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Energy, Health
and Human Services (which houses the National Institutes of Health),
Interior, Justice, State, and Transportation; the Environmental
Protection Agency; the National Aeronautics and Space Administration;
the National Science Foundation; and other relevant research and
development activities. Committees that do not generally deal
with issues relevant to S&T are not listed. Updated January
