AAAS Directorate for Science & Policy Programs
The AAAS Directorate for Science & Policy Programs is devoted to activities in realms where science, government and society intersect. These programs serve a number of AAAS's constitutional objectives, including furthering the work of scientists, improving the effectiveness of science in the promotion of human welfare, and fostering scientific freedom and responsibility. The directorate's activities include the Center for Science, Technology, and Congress (host of this website), the R&D Budget and Policy Program, and the S&T Policy Fellowship Programs.

The National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Engineering, and Institute of Medicine are honorary societies established to advise the government on matters related to science and technology. The bulk of their science policy and technical work is conducted by their operating arm, the National Research Council.

A legislative information service of the Library of Congress providing the full-text of legislation introduced from the 93rd Congress through the 107th Congress. Includes bill summary and status as well as links to other Library of Congress Resources, the Congressional Record, C-Span, etc.
