The AAAS DoSER Program seeks interns interested in the broad themes of bioethics, evolution, human nature, bioresponsibility, and cosmos.

The Program is seeking qualified undergraduate and graduate students (recent graduates also accepted). Duties vary depending on the expertise and experience of the individual. Activities of past interns have included researching topics important for science and religion, assisting with publications, and providing support for project activities. Efforts will be made to match the subject matter of the activities with the interests of the intern.
Positions are available year-round, full-time preferred, but part-time accepted. Internships are for a minimum of 3 months. The internships are unpaid, but the Program will accommodate students interested in receiving course credit from their institutions. Efforts will be made to accommodate interns' other obligations of time. All positions are located at the AAAS headquarters in Washington, DC.

- A strong interest in issues relating to the intersection of science and religion
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Strong academic background (all majors will be considered)
- Computer experience: word processing and use of the Internet for research
- Research experience is preferred
- Background/coursework in one of the following is preferred: biology, evolutionary biology, astrobiology, ecology, environmental science, genetics, bioethics, religious studies, or theology
