Join AAAS in creating a Science and Religion Coalition!
Religion often deeply impacts how people view science yet few scientific societies have sufficient resources to devote to this issue. A coalition of scientific societies working together to understand religious perspectives and contribute to the science and religion dialogue can help to ensure that the public benefits from advances in all scientific disciplines. Speakers Gilbert Omenn (Professor, University of Michigan), Martin Blume (Former Editor-in-Chief, American Physical Society, and Lea Schweitz (Associate Director, Zygon Center for Religion and Science) will discuss the potential benefits of such a coalition.
