Kansas Teach-In on "Science, Teaching and the Search for Origins"
14-15 April 2000
The University of Kansas

In collaboration with the Chancellor and faculty at the University of Kansas, DoSER helped plan and fund this public event and offered five plenary speakers. The teach-in provided presentations on the origins of the cosmos, of the Earth, and of life and species. The event also offered assessments of critiques of evolutionary theories and discussed the relationship of evolutionary theories to religious perspectives. The teach-in offered a public opportunity to discuss some of the central questions and issues related to the state public school science education standards in Kansas.
