Avoiding the Sixth Major Extinction, Why It Matters

Biological diversity is rapidly declining. What drives the destruction of biodiversity throughout the world and why is this loss serious? What practical and ethical issues does the destruction of biodiversity raise? What can be done to prevent further loss? If humans are responsible for the destruction of other species what answer can we give to the question, "Why don't you stop?"
