| Discoveries in the biological sciences and developments in biotechnology are having profound impacts on the biospehere generally and human health in particular. Traditional human values, often mediated through religious communities, bear on the public policy issues raised by these developments and are themselves challenged. Through working groups, public forums and publications, DoSER seeks to enhance the level of public discussion of these public policy issues by bringing together scientists, biotechnologists, ethicists, and religious scholars to explore these issues. | |
