Biography

Cynthia Cohen, Ph.D., J.D., is Faculty Affiliate at the Kennedy Institute of Ethics at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and a Fellow of The Hastings Center. She is the former Executive Director of the National Advisory Board on Ethics in Reproduction in Washington, D.C., Associate for Ethical Studies at The Hastings Center in Garrison, New York, Associate to the Legal Counsel of the University of Michigan Hospitals, and Chair of the Philosophy Department at the University of Denver. Dr. Cohen is a graduate of Barnard College, received her Ph.D. from Columbia University and her law degree from the University of Michigan.
