Nancy Howell is Associate Professor of Theology and
Philosophy of Religion at St. Paul School of Theology. She received a
PhD from the Claremont Graduate School. Her areas of research include
theology and philosophy of religion, with special interest in Science
and Religion; ecological theology; process theology and philosophy; liberation
theology; and gender, race, and class. She contributed the chapter “Science,
Religion, and Women” to the Encyclopedia of Women and World Religion
(Macmillan, 1999), is the author of A Feminist Cosmology: Ecology, Solidarity,
and Metaphysics (Prometheus Press, in press) and co-author of The Open
View of God and Process Theology (Eerdmans, in press). She is a member
of the Steering Committee of the Religion and Science Group of the American
Academy of Religion.
