David Sloan Wilson, Ph.D., is a Professor of Biological
Science at Binghamton University. He is an evolutionary biologist with
a wide range of interests, including natural selection as a hierarchical
process, the nature of intraspecific variation, the evolution of ecological
communities and human evolutionary biology. He studies a wide range of
organisms including fish, insects, plants and humans. He is the author
with Elliott Sober of Unto Others: The Evolution and Psychology of
Unselfish Behavior (Harvard University Press, 1998) and Darwin's
Cathedral: Evolution, Religion, and the Nature of Society (University
of Chicago Press, 2002).
