The teach-in provided presentations on the origins of the cosmos, of the Earth, and of life and species. The event also offered assessments of critiques of evolutionary theories and discussed the relationship of evolutionary theories to religious perspectives. The teach-in offered a public opportunity to discuss some of the central questions and issues related to the state public school science education standards in Kansas.
