AAAS's entry into the popular science magazine genre in the early 1980s, Science 80/86,, achieved a circulation of nearly 700,000 and received numerous awards, including three National Magazine Awards. The Association sold the magazine to Time, Inc. in 1986. These records of editor-in-chief, Allen Hammond, include start-up files, Editorial Board minutes, correspondence, and letters to the editor.
