A COMPETITION FOR STEM ENTREPRENEURS IN WASHINGTON, D.C.

Lab to Launch is a new D.C. science and technology entrepreneurship competition created by the American Association for the Advancement of Science's Research Competitiveness Program. AAAS created Lab to Launch to identify and support promising D.C. technology innovators by providing training, networking opportunities, and seed capital prizes.

Technology innovators from across the District submitted applications and pitch videos describing their business plans and technical innovations. After merit-review by panels consisting of a combination of scientific and entrepreneurship experts, six entrepreneurs were selected to advance to the Lab to Launch Live Pitching Finals.

On April 18, the finalists pitched on stage to a panel of judges for the chance to win seed capital prizes of $5,000 for 1st place, $3,000 for 2nd place, and $2,000 for 3rd place. To view the list of winners click here.
