Bioethics commission seeks comments on availability of genome data

The Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues is seeking public comment on ethical issues raised by the widespread availability of large-scale human genome sequence data. The commission has indicated a specific interest in privacy and data access issues that arise as sequencing is integrated into research and clinical care. Comments are due by May 25.
