AAAS Science, Technology and Human Rights Conference: SciTech for Human Rights Showcase

To mark the 10th anniversary of the AAAS Science and Human Rights Coalition, this conference will feature a new SciTech for Human Rights Showcase located in the first floor atrium.

The Showcase will give exhibitors from scientific organizations, academic research centers, the private sector, human rights organizations, and other partners the opportunity to display and promote their innovative collaborations for human rights. This is an opportunity for attendees to learn more about scientific methods, tools, and technologies are being applied to human rights challenges and to discuss how those solutions could be adapted for other contexts or scaled up. It is a place to share accomplishments and ideas, learn from others who are tackling similar challenges, and identify potential partners for future endeavors. The showcase will include presentations from groups including Amnesty International, Planet Labs, Oxfam, Statistics Without Borders, and The Interamerican Association for Environmental Defense.
