Using an automated robotic platform to spy on bumblebees wearing tiny barcoded backpacks, researchers have discovered yet another detrimental effect of neonicotinoid pesticides on these insects: neonicotinoid exposure disrupts the behavior and social interactions of worker bees inside the hives.
