Scientific community/Academic ethics/Research ethics

AAAS and Sigma Xi forge an alliance to leverage the work of the two broad-based scientific organizations to promote and advance science.
The AAAS Board of Directors adopted the “Statement on Scientific Freedom and Responsibility” on Oct. 12 to govern the organization, its members and guide scientists across the globe.
AAAS this week urged policymakers to support research using donated fetal tissue, which was instrumental to the development of the vaccine to combat polio, and today advances efforts to better understand the Zika virus, eye disease, and human development.
