Thank you for being a part of the AAAS 2019 Fellows Challenge.

Your $10,000 contribution will help AAAS during a challenging and defining time for the scientific enterprise.

As an elected Fellow, you are a vital ambassador for science and important part of our international membership. Your support will help us to advocate more powerfully during this critical era by providing national coordination of resources and messaging to amplify scientific voices, making the whole greater than the sum of its parts.

We look forward to recognizing you and other distinguished Fellows for joining the Challenge and thank you not only for your extraordinary achievements in advancing science, but also for your extraordinary support that is helping policymakers, journalists and everyday citizens understand the critical importance of science in our everyday lives.

We are grateful for your generosity.

The Center aims to build bridges between communities, societies, and nations through closer interactions between science and diplomacy and elevate the role of science in foreign policy to address national and global challenges.

DoSER builds communication and engagement between scientists, ethicists, and religious communities, and facilitates inclusive dialogue on promising advances and societal implications of science and technology. As a grant- and donor-funded program, your support will help us facilitate these conversations in the most meaningful way possible. Thank you for supporting DoSER’s vital work!

Since its launch in 2012, the Golden Goose Award has celebrated researchers whose silly, odd, or obscure sounding, federally-funded research has returned serious benefits to society — making us safer, healthier, and more prosperous. The Award shares the stories behind how these scientific breakthroughs happen.

The Golden Goose Award has strong bipartisan support from the U.S. Congress, and awardees are honored each year at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. where Members of Congress from both parties speak to the importance of federal funding for scientific research.

The AAAS is the fiduciary for the Golden Goose Award. Your tax-deductible gift to AAAS to support the Golden Goose Award will have an immediate impact. More information on sponsorship opportunities for the Award is available here.

Thank you for your generosity.

For over 40 years, the AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellowship Program has provided opportunities for outstanding scientists and engineers to learn first-hand about policymaking and contribute their knowledge and analytical skills in the policy realm. Each year, the program adds to a growing corps over 3,000 strong of policy-savvy leaders working across academia, government, nonprofits, and industry to serve the nation and citizens around the world.

Those in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine (STEM) understand the benefit of diversity. We also know that biases, including those within colleges and universities, have marginalized many different groups and denied opportunities in STEM. How do we untie ourselves from these practices? How do we give ourselves access to the full range of talent for STEM?

Help AAAS with its bold new initiative, STEM Equity Achievement (SEA) Change, effecting institutional transformation in support of diversity and inclusion, especially in colleges and universities.

Your donation will support one of the three pillars of SEA Change:

SEA CHANGE INSTITUTE

The Institute will offer:

  • a research repository — we ask that member institutions be evidence-based and thoughtful in their programming and their change efforts, and the Institute helps self-assessment teams find the best available evidence
  • online and face-to-face training, from training modules to courses to convenings

SEA CHANGE COMMUNITY

The Community will be a digital platform for colleges and universities, funders, business and industry, and other stakeholders committed to diversity to:

  • share information, research, and best practices
  • build partnerships and collaborations to nurture the talent pool for STEM

SEA CHANGE AWARDS

A recognition system where colleges and universities, as well as their schools and departments, are acknowledged for their work on true institutional reform supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The process, inspired by the Athena SWAN and Race Equality Charters in the UK, includes:

  • Voluntary self-assessment using criteria based on SEA Change Principles
  • Identification of barriers preventing inclusion and equity in STEM across institutions and departments
  • Developing an action plan to address barriers
  • Having action plans and progress independently assessed by a panel of experts to receive appropriate recognition

Thank you in advance for your support.
