Science enthusiasts gathered on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, joined by supporters at some 230 satellite rallies in towns and cities across the globe for what was an endorsement of scientific evidence and a celebration of its discoveries.
The 2018-19 Fellows Will Leverage Food and Water Security Research to Engage the Public In and Outside Their Institutions AAAS announced the selection of 15 food and water security researchers as the 2018-19 AAAS Alan I. Leshner Leadership Institute Public Engagement Fellows on February 15. They have demonstrated leadership and excellence in their research careers and an interest in promoting meaningful dialogue between science and society.
AAAS has made a $10,000 donation to the AAAS Caribbean Division to help the Puerto Rican scientific enterprise rebuild in the wake Hurricane Maria.
