Extraterrestrial dust may have caused or intensified an ice age and increased marine diversity a half a billion years ago.

The latest photographs from Japan's Hayabusa2 mission suggest the asteroid may have formed during the early stages of the solar system in cataclysmic events.

The search for evidence that life evolved somewhere beyond Earth, or has evolved on Earth has led to interesting research, but has yielded no signs of any extra-terrestrials. Still, if some form of life were found, people would probably react positively.
